/ nightLow Tide is our ground-floor two-bedroom, and it's the easiest arrival in the building — park in your spot, walk straight in, no stairs and no bags to haul. From the front door you're standing on the sand in under two minutes. That isn't marketing: it's one short block, about a hundred yards. Both bedrooms have a queen bed and their own full bathroom, which is really why people book this one. Two couples, or a family that's finished negotiating shower times — everybody gets their own corner. The kitchen and living area open into each other, and off the kitchen there's a deck that belongs to this unit alone. Coffee out there in the morning is the best part of the day. The kitchen is set up for people who actually cook: full cookware and dishes, a Keurig with pods, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, and a blender. There's a washer and dryer inside the unit, so pack light and stay the week. Beach towels and chairs are already here — leave yours at home. The WiFi is fast enough for a work call in one room and cartoons in the other. Keyless check-in on your own schedule, one dedicated parking space, and easy free street parking. You will have access to all the house and can use its amenities. Deck outside is also yours! Beach is just 2 min away. Guest interaction will be on a need be basis. We are local, and can be reached if needed, but want to respect your privacy. You're in the north end of Jacksonville Beach, one short block from the Atlantic — about a hundred yards, or two minutes on foot. Salt Life Food Shack is two minutes away for seafood and cold drinks after a beach day, and Mellow Mushroom is right there for pizza and craft beer. Refinery Jax Beach, one of the better oceanview dinners in town, is a three-minute walk. The Jacksonville Beach Pier — fishing, sunrise walks, and the center of the local surf scene — is an easy eight minutes on foot, and the downtown blocks around it run festivals and live music at Seawalk Pavilion through the warmer months. For everything else: Publix is a two-minute drive, and Beaches Town Center in Neptune Beach adds another cluster of shops, restaurants and bars about five minutes up the road. Most people drive here, and every unit comes with one dedicated parking space on the property (every spot is labeled). Street parking in the neighborhood is free and easy if you bring a second car. When you'd rather not drive, download the Beach Buggy app from Google Play or the App Store — free rides around the beaches, and the local way to get to dinner or home from a night out. Uber and Lyft both run reliably here as well. Driving times worth knowing: Publix 2 minutes, Beaches Town Center 5, Jacksonville Beach Golf Club 8, Mayo Clinic 10, TPC Sawgrass 17, downtown Jacksonville about 32, and Jacksonville International Airport about 40. This building has stood a block from the Atlantic for a long time, and we've kept its character rather than gutting it — so you'll find original details, a floor that isn't perfectly level, and the small quirks that come with an older beach building. Everything works, everything is spotless, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. But it's a well-loved older building rather than new construction, and sound travels the way it does in older buildings. Heron sits on the ground floor with a rental unit above it, so you'll hear footsteps overhead now and then. If you're after brand-new finishes and total silence, this probably isn't your match. If you want an honest Jax Beach place you can walk out of and be in the ocean two minutes later, you'll be very happy here. Additional notes: - No parties or events that include more than the number of registered guests. - Smoking allowed outdoors far from the property only. - NO pets on furniture.
